The paper provides basic concepts of tourism like its definition, evolution of tourism throughout the ages. It gives an overall idea about different kinds of tourism, different theories of motivation, and different tourism organisations and their objectives. The syllabus creates awareness of sustainable and responsible tourism, cultural and ethical considerations, and the economic impact of tourism.
